How this works

A local guide for couples marrying within an hour of Louisville. Built by people who run weddings here and got tired of prices hidden behind lead forms.

The rules we run on

1. Same 23 fields for every venue. Same order, same tone, no photos for anyone. A venue cannot buy a better answer.
2. Every fact is labeled. Publicly listed (read from the venue's own site or listing, with the date), venue confirmed, or unknown. Unknown is never rounded up to yes.
3. Fit is computed from your must-haves, not from who pays. The same code runs for every venue including the one we own.
4. Nothing here needs an account. Browse, compare, print and share without giving us an email. You choose which venues can contact you, and you see exactly what they receive.
5. Paid placement, when it exists, is labeled and lives in its own box. Search order and fit labels are never sold.
6. Any venue or vendor edits its own listing, free. A one-time link goes to the business email; changes that pass automatic checks publish within the hour. Add or update a listing.
7. Facts expire. Every venue page shows the date we last checked. A monthly recheck flags anything stale.

Who owns this site

The people who operate this guide also own Highland Oaks Wedding & Events in Palmyra, Indiana. We are telling you on purpose. Highland Oaks appears with the same fields, the same rules, the same zero photos and the same fit code as every other venue, and it is marked on its card and on every comparison it appears in. Inquiries you send to other venues go to those venues, not to us for sales use.

If you ever see Highland Oaks treated differently, tell us and we will fix it and say so here.

How we make money

Right now, we do not. In the first year nothing on this site is for sale. If that changes it will be clearly marked advertising and optional paid help, never a better answer for a paying venue.

Coverage

Harrison, Floyd, Clark and Washington counties in Indiana and Jefferson, Oldham, Shelby and Bullitt counties in Kentucky. If a venue you care about is missing, add it or add it by hand on your own comparison.

What we are not

Not a planner, not a lawyer, not a contract review. We help you decide which venues deserve a tour and what to confirm in writing. The written quote and contract from the venue are what count.
